Lawrence and the governor seek Margarets help with a personal legal matter related to the governors sister, and while Margaret is ecstatic to be of assistance, Lawrence refuses to let Todd anywhere near the case.

When Todd agrees to help Susans fiancé locate a missing employee, he stumbles into a case Margaret agreed to co-counsel with Gus. Margaret and Todd realize their cases are converging and a firewall is put into place to prevent them from communicating with each other.

14 - Against All Todds

When Veronica appears at the law firm requesting a favor from Todd, he agrees to help but soon realizes she may be out for revenge. Also, Margaret is upset when she is taken off a high-stakes case.

15 - Ivan the Terrible

Margaret represents a gifted 17-year-old hacker charged with releasing classified defense documents and faces off against her college nemesis; Todd is tasked with babysitting the teen hacker for the duration of the trial.

16 - Twelve Worried Persons

When a juror dies during Susans first big trial as lead attorney, Margaret and Todd work to exonerate Amy, a juror from the same trial suspected of the murder. Also, Margarets sister Patty is in town and sparks fly between Todd and Amy.

17 - The First Date Is the Deepest

Margaret helps a client who lost his mother during a routine surgery at Allisons hospital, performed by her colleague Dr. Ross Woods. Also, Margaret and Gus go on their first date and Todd is asked by the firm to investigate Gus.

18 - Gloom and Boom

When a stranger with a bomb appears at the law firm demanding Margaret reverse her efforts to free her client on death row or the bomb will detonate, Margaret and Todd must rely on their legal and detective skills to untangle the crime, uncover the intentions of the bomber and save everyone at the firm.

19 - 86d

Margaret represents Lauren, Susans good friend, in a hostile work environment lawsuit after she quits her job at a Michelin-starred restaurant, but it unexpectedly turns into a murder trial when the head chef is found dead. Also, when Todd gets sick, Margaret must go undercover as a dishwasher in a fancy restaurant while Todd acts as a restaurant critic to gather more intel on the possible suspect.

20 - More Fang for Your Chuck

Margaret must represent Chuck when he faces 20 years in federal prison after being accused of fixing a cash prize giveaway at the Portland Widows hockey game. Also, Lyle finds a new love interest in a forensic accountant and Allison asks Susan to be her divorce lawyer.

21 - Are You There Todd? Its Me, Margaret

When Margaret is too sick to work on the final day of an important negotiation, Todd must step in and impersonate a lawyer while Margaret uses her investigative skills. Also, Margaret and Gus finally share their first kiss.
