Sinopse:

Samuel, um inventor judeu nascido na Rússia que se especializou no desenvolvimento de aparelhos auditivos, tem a missão secreta do MI5 de usar seu conhecimento tecnológico para contribuir com os esforços do oeste da Guerra Fria. Seguindo as tensões da corrida espacial e do primeiro teste de bomba de hidrogênio, os esforços de Samuel contribuem para o surgimento do mundo moderno.
